The SUPRA has been specially developed for Fasson and undercut cuts with particularly smooth transitions. The tulip-shaped teeth with large catch areas for uncut hair enable dynamic working and support smooth cutting right down to the tips. The integrated curved cutting edge with CONBLADE ensures that thicker hair does not clog the blade.

The laser-cut profile of the tulip serration, combined with the exceptional sharpness of the integrated bevel, enables particularly smooth closing and cutting and offers exceptional stability. The finely polished, enlarged special cutting edge prevents snagging when closing. The pronounced bevel provides large, consistent cutting spaces, which facilitate dynamic working and support smooth cutting right to the tip.

A special feature of SUPRA is the option to turn the scissors around for particularly smooth Fasson and undercut cutting. This brings the sharp cutting edge closer to the hair, allowing you to start even closer to the skin—the so-called zero-gap effect. Soft thinning, lightening, or incorporating support hair is also effortless (0.7/0.7 tooth/gap ratio, cuts 50% of the passée).

The Classic with two short finger hooks allows you to work in the best possible ergonomic hand position for any technique—particularly suitable for left-handed users. The SUPRA is ideal for men's haircuts, fade cuts, any hair texture, and style and undercut cuts with particularly smooth transitions.

What does the BESS scale value mean?

The BESS value(Brubaker Edge Sharpness Scale) is a standardized measurement for quantitatively determining cutting edge sharpness. The measurement is based on the principle of cutting tests under defined loads: a calibrated test medium is exposed to the cutting edge while the force required in grams (g) to completely cut through the test material is measured. The scale is inversely proportional to sharpness: a lower BESS value indicates greater cutting edge sharpness, as less force is required for the cutting process. By using a standardized, certified test medium under controlled conditions, the BESS method ensures reproducible and comparable measurement results across different blades and manufacturers. For comparison: an ultra-sharp razor blade has a BESS value of approx. 50, while high-quality cutlery has a value of around 300.

What does the BORG-Scala value mean?

The BORG CR-10 scale for tool ergonomics Studies on fabric scissors showed a reduction in perceived effort from traditional designs (higher BORG values) to ergonomic designs through principles such as "bend the tool, not the wrist." Calibration studies with hand dynamometers confirm the correlation between objective force measurements and subjective BORG ratings.
