Der Begriff "Made in Solingen" ist gesetzlich geschützt und steht für Schneidwaren in höchster Qualität. Bereits im späten Mittelalter gab es ein Gütesiegel für Solinger Erzeugnisse. Die lateinische Inschrift "Me fecit Solingen" bedeutet "Mich schuf Solingen" und wurde damals auf Schwerter und Degen graviert. Sie waren heiß begehrt und für die Kämpfer, die solche Waffen führten, häufig eine Art "Überlebensversicherung".

The master craftsmen at TONDEO Solingen use exquisite Damascus steel to produceSolingen unique scissors. Concentrated work and skilled hands during the manufacturing process allow the masterful craftsmanship to be felt in each of the more than 150 steps involved. Flying sparks, whirring grinding belts, and booming hammer blows still bear witness to the centuries-old tradition of our Solingen factory.

As a Solingen-based company, TONDEO has naturally benefited from technical expertise and short transport routes within the city TONDEO 1928. This enables us to produce as sustainably as possible and avoid unnecessary transport routes. That is why we concentrate all production steps at our Solingen site, from design and production to our own sales force.
Our hairdressing scissors are, of course, manufactured in accordance with the "Solingen Regulation," i.e., all production steps take Solingen at our Solingen site and the required quality standards are met.
